For explorers

This is a day dedicated to salt, but in two different forms: you start at the beach and end at the salt marshes. The beach of La Baule is renowned for its beauty and is one of the longest beaches in Europe. Its monuments and villas will throw you back to the roaring twenties, when Gatsby-like figures threw lavish parties and when jazz bars lit up the night. Then continue onto the salt marshes of Guérande! The marshes' chromatic landscape is the source of one France's most delicious kinds of salt: fleur de sel de Guérande. An aerial view will make you think of a big, colorful makeup palette! The producers have been producing the same salt for over 1,400 years and you'll get to learn about the tools they use and how they use them. And of course, as with any food-related experience, there's a tasting or two lined up!
