City Guides

Welcome to Toulouse

Toulouse is an unmissable city to visit during the Rugby World Cup. It won’t take you long to realise that the residents of Toulouse are huge fans of rugby. Rightly so, with the local rugby club winning France’s rugby championship 19 times!

A recognisable feature of the city is the colour of the buildings, which are made of pink brick and terracotta, earning the city the nickname of “the pink city”. The city is also known as the European capital of aeronautics and space industries, with Airbus and the French Space Agency having their headquarters here.
